Our story
Why we created FireDoor Guardian
FireDoor Guardian wasn't created as a software business.
It was created because, after years of working on fire doors across Scotland, we recognised the same challenge time and time again.
Fire door information was spread across paperwork, spreadsheets, emails and disconnected reports. Registers quickly became outdated, making it difficult for building owners and responsible persons to understand the condition of their fire doors or demonstrate ongoing compliance.
We believed there had to be a better way.
Our foundation
Built on practical experience
FireDoor Guardian combines the experience of two established Scottish construction businesses:
- CalForth Construction Ltd
- Pyramid Projects (East) Ltd
Rather than purchasing an off-the-shelf software package, we developed our own platform to support the way we actually inspect, install and maintain fire doors.
Today, clients benefit from that same system through a live digital fire door register and client portal.
